Members of the Appeal Council visit the National Memorial Arboretum
On the 17th May 2011 members of it's Appeal Council visited the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire,also visiting the Arboretum was Flight Lieutenant Michelle Goodman,the first woman to be awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC),from her actions whilst serving in Iraq
Attending to meet her heroine was 13 year old Alrewas schoolgirl,Poppy,who is a member of the Burton Air Training Corps.Poppy has ambitions to become a Chinook helicopter pilot
One of the Appeal members attending was Lord Puttnan of Queensgate CBE,he is probably better know as the producer of films such as "Chariots of Fire" and "The Killing Fields",he was also Chair of Columbia Pictures from !986 to 1988
